Terms and Conditions

When booking a Portrait please be aware of the following terms and conditions.

 

Making a booking

Please use the online form or email me if you would like to discuss the process or make a booking for a portrait.

You will need to provide me with photos of your pet in digital format for me to review before we agree on the reference photo to be used for the portrait. If I deem the photos to be unsuitable, I will contact you to arrange for another set to be taken.

 

Commission deposit

For all commissions I will require a 20% deposit at the point of booking.

From the date of taking the deposit there is a 7-day cooling off period when you may request cancellation of your order for a full refund of your deposit.

Once the deposit has been paid you will go onto my waiting list, and I will provide you with an estimated date of completion, if for any unforeseen circumstances I am unable to meet the timescales I can offer a full refund.

Planning and preparation work will not commence until the 7-day cooling off period has elapsed.

 

Payments can be made through Paypal, Bank Transfer or personal cheque, payment details will be provided at the time of order.

 

Cancellations

If, in the event you wish to cancel your order within the 7 days cooling off period, please let me know within the 7-day period for a full refund of your deposit. If you request cancellation after the cooling off period, the deposit is non-refundable.

 

Once I have started your portrait and you wish to cancel there will be a £30 cancellation fee to cover time I have spent on the portrait and materials used up to the point the cancellation request has been received.

 

If you cancel your order once I have completed your portrait there will be a cancellation fee of 75% and I will retain the portrait.

 

Portrait review

Once I have completed the portrait, I will email a digital copy of the image over for your review and approval and to confirm you are satisfied. The balance of payment will not be requested until you are completely satisfied with your portrait. If you would like minor tweaks to be made to your portrait, please email me with the tweaks you would like. Please note, due to the nature of pastels only small tweaks can be made, it is not always possible to make significant changes to a completed portrait.

Once you have approved your portrait no further changes will be made.

Shipping

On receipt of the balance of payment, the portrait will be packed to a high standard using quality packaging materials to protect it in transit, the portrait will then be sent by courier to your home address.

 

Your portrait will be delivered well packaged and unframed, a tracking reference will be emailed to you so you can track your package.

 

In the unlikely event the packaging has been damaged when you receive it, please take photos of the packaging and the portrait itself and email over to me without delay so this can be assessed.

 

Where the portrait itself has been damaged, you will need to ship it back to me at your cost so this can be replaced at no additional cost to yourself.
