About the Artist
My name is Jayne Covington, and I am a professional pastel artist specialising in bespoke pet portraits and original pastel artwork. I create highly detailed, expressive pieces that capture character, emotion, and individuality — transforming treasured photographs into timeless works of art.
With a lifelong passion for drawing, I hold a degree in Animation from Norwich University of the Arts and a Postgraduate qualification from Central Saint Martins (UAL), London. This background brings a strong sense of composition, movement, and storytelling to every piece I create.
Each artwork is carefully hand-drawn using only the highest quality professional pastels and papers, ensuring exceptional detail, colour depth, and longevity.
Based in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, UK, I draw constant inspiration from nature and the animals around me. Whether you are looking for a meaningful pet portrait or a unique pastel artwork, my aim is to create something truly special that you will cherish for years to come.
Artisan Markets
I regularly attend local artisan markets, where I showcase a curated selection of my artwork in a variety of formats. These events give me the chance to meet people face-to-face, share the stories behind my pieces, and connect with a community that values creativity and handmade work.
At my stall, you’ll find high-quality art prints alongside a range of functional items featuring my designs—coasters, tote bags, and tea towels. Each product is created with care, designed to bring a touch of colour, character, and artistry into everyday life.
